Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread 

Soft, moist, quick & easy. Not to mention, TASTY! Go bananas over this simple recipe for Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. 

Banana bread has always been a favorite of mine and is perfect for this time of year. You probably have these ingredients at home, and if you’re anything like me, you also have a few bananas that’ve managed to lived past their prime. If you’ve never made banana bread before, no worries! This is a fail proof recipe that can be made in a pinch, and is a family favorite. 
 Just look at those slices… you want to make some don’t cha? 

Take banana bread to the next (chocolatey) level with this simple recipe. 

Because let’s face it, everything is better with chocolate. 


Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature 
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 4 over ripe bananas, mashed 
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (I used mini morsels)

Preheat your oven to 350 and lets go bananas!

  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until blended (about 1 minute)
  • Add milk and cinnamon and blend, then add eggs one at a time
  • In a separate bowl, use a fork and mash up your bananas. Then mix in bananas to batter and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes
  • Mix in baking soda, and add cups of flour one at a time
  • Your batter may look a little clumpy- that’s totally normal! 
  • Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips 
  • Grease a 9×5 loaf pan and pour batter in evenly
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 mins or until toothpick comes out clean 
  • Wait 1 hour before removing from pan, slice and enjoy!

FULL RECIPE 

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread 

Yeilds 1 loaf/ Preheat oven to 350

Ingredients 

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature 
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed 
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (I used Toll House mini morsels)

Directions 

  1. In a medium sized bowl, use a hand held mixer and cream butter and sugar until blended (about 1 minute)
  2. Add milk and cinnamon and blend, then add eggs one at a time. Blend for about 1 minute 
  3. In a separate bowl, use a fork and mash up your bananas. Once mashed, drop bananas into batter and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes
  4. Mix in baking soda, and add cups of flour one at a time
  5. Your batter may look a little clumpy- that’s totally normal! 
  6. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips 
  7. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan and pour batter in evenly. Sprinkle a handful of chocolate chips on top of batter
  8. Bake for 1 hour and 15 mins or until toothpick comes out clean 
  9. Wait 1 hour before removing from pan, slice and enjoy!
